A new initiative aimed at reviving and globalizing India’s ancient knowledge systems has been formally launched under the name Sanatan Wisdom Foundation. Conceived as a multidisciplinary platform, the foundation will focus on bringing Vedic philosophy, mantra science, and sound-based wellness practices into dialogue with modern research and public health models.
One of the foundation’s key initiatives is the Nada Yoga Research Institute (NYRI), which will undertake scientific research on Vedic mantras and sound therapy. NYRI aims to explore the measurable physiological and psychological effects of sacred Sanskrit sound patterns using modern tools such as EEG, HRV monitoring, and acoustic analysis.
A Vision to Bridge Tradition and Science
The Sanatan Wisdom Foundation envisions the creation of a global platform for Indian spiritual-scientific dialogue, presenting India’s oral and philosophical traditions — including mantra yoga, consciousness studies, Ayurveda, and swara vidya — within frameworks that are academically rigorous, scientifically validated, and culturally rooted.
Founder and philosophical advisor Devrishi, who was formerly known as filmmaker and composer Rishikesh Pandey, stated that the goal is to make India’s timeless wisdom accessible, testable, and translatable for modern societies.
“Sanatan does not mean ancient alone — it means eternal. Our mission is not revival for nostalgia, but adaptation for relevance,” he said.
NYRI: Scientific Exploration of Mantras
NYRI, the Foundation’s first formal project, will operate as a dedicated research body focusing on mantra-based therapeutic studies. It will collaborate with institutions such as AIIMS, IITs, and the Ministry of AYUSH, and present findings to global bodies like WHO and UNESCO.
A landmark experiment — Nada Yagya — is scheduled for June 21, 2025, where 51 Vedic scholars will perform synchronised mantra recitation under scientific observation. The event will collect biometric data for analysis and be shared with national and international wellness forums.
Toward a Global Vedic Dialogue
The Foundation also aims to develop knowledge content in multiple languages and engage in international publications, digital archives, retreats, and policy briefs to promote India’s spiritual science in global academic, clinical, and cultural institutions.
With the launch of Sanatan Wisdom Foundation, India takes a step toward establishing a knowledge diplomacy platform — one that places its intangible spiritual heritage into a modern, scalable, and scientifically credible context.
